High Dusting

If you’re worried by the yucky appearance of dust in those hard to reach places of your home and/or the health ramifications dust may have on your body, then you’re in the right place!

What is High Dusting?

Dust typically accumulates on ceiling fans, corners where the wall and ceiling meet, beams, rafters, light fixtures, skylights, roof overhangs, and many other areas of your home. Not to mention those nasty cobwebs happen to appear in those same places! YUCK!!! High dusting is the process of accessing those hard to reach places and removing the dust and cobwebs.

What can dust do to my home?

Here are some ways dust can affect your home:

With high humidity, dust can get wet causing it to stick to walls and ceilings. Once it dries, it can become a hard paste that can be difficult to remove without damaging the paint.

In the kitchen, grease and other cooking materials can get mixed into the grease and stick to the dust. One of two things can happen. First, these particles can stick to ceiling fans, walls, and ceiling making it gross and nasty to clean and see. Second, it can end up in your food.
You don’t want your guests thinking you have a messy house simply because they notice dust and cobwebs.

Are there really 7 potential health risks for dust accumulation?

YES! Dust particles small enough to be inhaled may cause:

1. Irritation of the eyes

2. Skin irritation

3. Sneezing

4. Coughing

5. Hay Fever

6. Asthma Attacks

7. Trouble Sleeping

In fact, it’s noted people with respiratory conditions like asthma, chronic obstructive airway disease (COAD), or emphysema, even the smallest increase in dust can make their symptoms worse.
